Susie Q Whitefish Boil

The Whitefish Boil recipe is our version of the Door County fish boil that you can do at home.

Susie Q Whitefish Boil

8 chunks of Whitefish (2” chunks)
8 small red potatoes (ends cut off)
8 small white onions (peeled)
1/4 lb. salt
1 gal. Water
4 large carrots cleaned and chunked

Add 4 tbls of salt to water and bring to a boil. Add potatoes and boil for 14 minutes. Add carrots, onions and boil for 4 minutes more. Add fish and another 4 tbls salt, boil for 10 minutes and drain into a colander. Serve with melted butter, lemon and coleslaw.
