Savory Whitefish Salad


1 ½ lbs. Whitefish fillets, (fresh, frozen or smoked)

1 C shell noodles cooked according to directions

3 hard boiled eggs, sliced              

¼ C diced celery

¾ C cooked peas 

¼ C diced green pepper

2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish

1 tsp. salt

1/8  tsp. pepper

1 Tbsp. lemon juice

¾ C mayonnaise



1 C Marie’s French dressing

2 Tbsp. salad oil

¼ C lemon juice

1 tsp. soy sauce

1 tsp. dill weed


Poach fillets until fork-tender in water to cover. Drain

And peel off skin. Combine marinade ingredients and pour

over hot fillets. Stir and break up fillets. Let stand until cold,

stirring occasionally while preparing remaining ingredients.

Add remaining ingredients. Serve in lettuce cups with

tomatoes and cucumber slices and fresh hot biscuits.

Serves 6-8.
